Or how about the Coalition is extremely jealous about everyone leaving for the Sirius area, and they were left with the war ridden Sol area. This jealous rage causes them to gather up what resourse they have left and head for Sirius. History repeats itself. Epitomy of mankind at its worst. Sounds like fun.

Story idea...
The Order, with the help of Liberty, use the newly found gate technology to send a scout back to Sol. That scout just so happens to be you, since you've thoroughly impressed both The Order and the Liberty forces.

Arriving upon Sol you find little but ruin all throughout the systems and run into a couple small skirmishes with an unknown alien force. Upon chance meeting of a human you learn that that area of space was just attacked, utterly destroyed, and left for dead by an ancient alien force. The survivor knows, one way or another, that the aliens somehow learned that humans had branched out into the Sirius sector and their force, en masse, headed in that direction.

You return to Sirius post haste to warn Liberty of the incoming danger and only an alliance of all the houses have any hope of turning back the enemy. They enemy? Well the Nomads weren't the only ancient race to be awoken.
