Noob Questions

Woo! Here we go, Noob q's away!

Ok, only had the game for about three days, and i love it! Ahh! Ok, I know there are many paths that you can take..

1. How many of the LSF missions in the New York System do you have to do? Do you have to go all the way until you get chased out of liberty?

2. If answer to 1 is no, then how do you progress as a commerce trader, or pirate?

you have to play random missions until you can afford a new fighter and new equipment, buy a patriot at first, do some more missions to outfit it with some nice guns, then, probably already by then juni would contact you with further missions, advancing the storyline

Just to tag on to this post....

Ok I'm a little confused with the whole jump gate thing. I just start the game and I'm told my ship doesn't have jump ability yet. Is this like Privateer where you have to buy a jump drive, or do you just buy a new ship and it can jump.

sorry if this has already been asked, and for its totally newbie nature.

As you play the Single Player Scenerios, you will receive everything needed to use the Jump Gates.
