Forum Problems

Okay, one of my threads was locked because it generated too much controversy, and one (in which I was asking for help) seems to have been deleted. If I can't even get info here, what's the point of continuing.

I'm unsubscribing. Those of you who wish to remain under a dictatorship can stay.

As you know the thread with the question got moved to the Spoiler Forum, where it belongs... Since you are asking about the later parts of the game...

We all owe a big thanks to all the admins, moderaters and others who run this site. Theyve been keeping these forums clean, stopping us from flaming others and getting these spoilers outta here be4 we can...well...be spoiled. So thanks.

Those of you who wish to remain under a dictatorship can stay.

Hate to break this to you, but...

1. EVERY forum on the internet is a "Dictatorship", even if they don't enforce a single rule.
There is always one person whom is in charge and you can't "vote them out".

2. Forums on the interent are NOT "America".
There is NO "right to free speech".

3. Forums on the interent are not "Burger King".
You don't get to "Have it your way."

I hope this hasn't shattered anyone's loose grasp on reality.

Fly well,

"Hate to break this to you, but...

I hate to break it to you, but that's rubbish. I run a forum on democratic lines. Here are some of the democratically determined rules it runs by:

"Any banning or silencing of individual members must be suggested and seconded, and put to a vote of the membership. The decision will require a majority (of those who choose to vote), and the voting will take place within 3 days (in the form of a group poll) so that issues are addressed quickly and so that members have time to respond. Banning of members or censorship of posts will not be engaged in unilaterally by the owner or moderators.

The forum owner and moderators will be elected, not appointed. A person's place as owner or moderator can be revoked by a vote of the membership after any member has asked (and been seconded) for a vote to dismiss. As above, voting will take place within 3 days. In the case of a change in ownership, a willing candidate will be chosen by vote from among the membership, and transferral of ownership will take place within 3 days of the result."

"2. Forums on the interent are NOT "America".
There is NO "right to free speech"."

That's a straw man argument. No one's arguing that there is a right to free speech. I merely said that this forum was being run along the lines of a dictatorship.

"3. Forums on the interent are not "Burger King".
You don't get to "Have it your way."

Another straw man. Nothing I said argued otherwise. I said that I was leaving. I didn't demand that anything be my way.
