NON-Spoiler hints and tips.

I finished the campaign, I'll give it a B- for storyline. It took me 28hours of gameplay (had a couple days off there....). I only took time off the main storyline to level-up and put some cash in the bank. Now I'm redoing the whole campaign, but this time I'm going to ignore the campaign until I have seen absolutly everything, so I'm looking for NON-spoiler hints to do so.

My hints:

1. Finding stuff: go to your radar, click on "patrol routes" and then click the skull and crossbones. You can see where the enemy patrol routes converge. Wonder why? make a waypoint and go there....

2. Talk to everyone, everywhere. Listen to peoples rumors, they will tell you of hidden points of interest in the current system. If someone has a (i) over them, they will sell you information, some of which are on hidden objects.

3. When you enter a system, land at every base. If you get a break from the campaign, take it. Don't go and pick things up in the story again, they will wait. Take missions from people (or the job board) at each base. They will take you into different parts of the system where there are no waypoints so you can find everything (see next point .

4. While travelling through systems, especially badlands, asteroids, etc, change your contact list from ! to ALL. Keep an eye open for strange things, peoples names, "unknown objects", bases that arent' on the map (land everywhere you can!) and go to them. Some objects lead to other objects.

5. Practice dogfighting early on while things are not so "hot". Get good at Left+Right, thrusters, reverse thrust and aiming. Practice with missles and countermeasures.

6. DONT sell off the weapons that you collect right away. They don't take up space and usually arent' worth much anyway. Collect groups of weapons that you want to test, then unmount your current weapons and put in the other weapons when you have enough of them and see how you like them. Try to group weapons that travel at the same speed so they hit the target together.

7. IF for some reason, you decide to do a formation with a bunch of criminals before they attack a commercial ship, please keep in mind that the escorts of that ship will turn immediately hostile to you, same with any police patrols. Flying in formation with criminals is fine. Just remember to break away before they start shooting.
