Ultimate Money-making Scheme

As a struggling newbie strapped for cash, I was having to pick my jobs carefully to avoid blowing all my money on repairs and ammo afterwards. So I thought I'd try some other line of work. After failing at mining due to constant interruption, and failing at cargo hauling for lack of suitable markets, I finally hit on the million-credit idea.

I'm gonna sell Bloodhounds to the Liberty Rogues!! The guy doing that must be rich as Hell by now, considering how many get blown up everyday. He's gotta be about ready to retire to some private resort planet. I gotta find him and see if I can take over the business

Hehe, im suprised the Liberty Rouges still manage to even exist. Thier loss rate must be 100% everyday..........before lunch.

I actually thought of a good way to get even richer when you become rich. Loan sharking to newbies, think about it there is poor little n00b stuck on manhatten with a crappy little ship and not much chance of making it in the big bad freelancer world and along comes rich old Uncle Mustang to save the day with a million dollar loan at 20% interest per week. Of course it would have to be coded to make the n00b pay the money or suffer reposetion of his goods and the freezing of his finances and of course it's not possible so why am I telling you this......because I like the sound of my own voice of course!!

I don't really run this place but I have an understanding with the people who do.

Hehe, that would indeed be a profitable job.

The turnover of ships in the Freelancer universe is really high. The other day I was returning from a mission where I had killed 4-5 corsairs and destroyed a number of weapon platforms and I was peacefully making my way back to base. I didn't hurry and played around with the turret cam and tried out o few tricks with the ship I might use in the next fight. Soon a gang of corsairs appeared, disturbing the peace. Returning from combat my ship was almost out of shield batteries and missiles and suddenly I was looking att failing an easy mission due to not returning to base quickly enough. So I had to fight with great care but finally I had downed them all only to see four or five new ones approaching moments later. Now it got really tough, my heavy thruster was screaming and it sounded like I was burning my engine fighting and at the same time being extremely careful not to let missiles hit my ship or the bandits turning from my sight (those corsairs are something else when it comes to changing direction suddenly).

Back at base I had downed at least 15 corsairs and used upp all my missiles, nano bots and batteries and the net income of the mission was negative. But somwhow I felt it was worth it.
