Please help me open up other areas

Hi folks,

I realise that this might be an unpopular position to take, but I'm just plain tired of blowing up other ships over and over again in every single space game that I buy. I love trading games, but the endless violence that seems inherent to them just gets tedious after a while. As a pacifist in real life, I would have liked the option to become a trader and just explore the entire universe without having to kill thousands of my fellow humans in order to do it. After reading the previews I thought this game might finally allow me the flexibility to just play happily in a game without killing folks. Sadly it seems that this game is little more than just the same old space opera shoot-em-up that has been released over and over for years. You can't advance unless you cause hundreds of (simulated) people to die.

Can anyone tell me if I can alter the game so that I can simply explore the whole universe, building my ship up, trading, and eluding pirates, without slaughtering anyone? Alternatively, is there a file I can download that will basically put me near the end of the game so that all areas are opened to me?

Thanks,

Beery.

Create a local MultiPlayer game.

Start up your own Multiplayer server, but make it not available on the internet. Then you can play all you want and go into any system you want. But you will still get attacked by pirates when they lane hack you. But if you stick to the lanes and not go into any pirate controlled systems or sectors you should be attacked less.

only thing is.. you can't go stand out by the trade lanes with a picket sign protesting all the pirate violence. Hell, even the greens are violent in this game. The Gaians are pretty mean for environmentalists. But maybe ya'll can work out your differences by labeling and then killing those bigot Xeno's. Continue your policy of appeasement.. hope it finally works for some one.. some time.. lol, j/k.. no.
