Noticed something on the Freelancer Box.

On the flap of the box this is statated.

"My ship is burnt pretty bad. Money is tight. But I picked up a contract to cart some ice to a liberty naval base near the Bretonia border. Hope things are turning my way."

an also

"... I almost limped to my destination, but pirates hit me again and took almost all my cargo. The Liberty naval contract is dust."

and also

"... A group of smugglers in the quadrant offered me a huge contract to run some luxury goods to Rhienland..."

That is 3 out 4 inserts that mention having a cargo run contract. I can see why people who have not followed the making of the game could be mad if cargo missions were not in the game. The box lead you to believe that there is.

They also talk about New Florida and Chicago, so I think the people that made the box never actually played the game The box is pretty cool anyway though

So I take it that New Florida and Chicago do not exist. I have not seen every system yet

They don't unless they've been really well hidden

Liberty only has 4 normal systems - New York, Colorado, California, and Texas
Don't think that's a spoiler, pretty basic.

They probably designed this box back when they had cargo missions, New Florida and Chicago.

Its not the size that matters.. but the way you work it.

That was never the case with me of course...

I wonder where those sorts of missions went then?

Although misleading boxes is nothing new. I remember looking at the box that Age of Empires came in and thinking the screenshots were so cool. Then when I played the game I found out that getting formations like those depicted in the screenies wouldn't happen in a million years and there was a 50 unit cap in the game which they'd gone well over to orchestrate the screenshots for the box.

those quotes sound like they are taken from the neural log in the game. there's a bunch of stuff written in there about what has happened to trent etc. prior to the freeport 7 incident, the first few posts..
