Perishable (and highly perishable) items

Hey
How long will it take for things like luxury food (high perishable) to get up and disappear on me?
I'm thinking of doing Cambridge (Planet Cam.) - NY (Manhattan)...almost 1000% return, but I don't want the stuff to perish.

Are you sure lux foods aren't cheaper on New London?

Anyway, I went from New London to NY with a cargo of 125 lux food and got to NY with 108, if I recall correctly.

If you have less cargo space than that, obviously you are going to lose a larger percentage of your cargo (since your total is lower).

tis actually a bit more expensive on New London, 192 as opposed to 160 on Cambridge.

Generally, I'll lose about 7 - 8 units of Luxury Foods during a New London -> New Manhatten run.

If I hotlane it the whole way (flying into transit lanes on cruise engines and hitting dock at the last second) I might be able to save an extra one. If I get jumped once or twice by pirates I might lose two or three extra.

I do the New London to Planet Denver Luxury Food run since Denver pays like 1360 for them. I lost 10 during my trip using a Titan.
