Great game... now what? *spoilers*

I've finished the SP & I've mapped out pretty much everything (yup, visisted every system, found some 90 jump holes & 100+ bases.. or was it 120?) and reached level 38 (apparently the highest possible). Now my ship is indestructible (lvl 10 shield) and my weapons undefeatable (lvl 10 again + nomad)... plus some 1.5 million credits in me stash. (btw I didn't cheat. )

Anyway, now what? I tried multiplayer but didn't like it... everyone was just flying around trading... Not much interaction going on. I want to make a sirius map but dunno how to screen capture (the only thing I haven't done in the game )

Well if you saw everything then congratulations you have truely finished the game. You must have had the PR Beta, Warez, or you played non stop since yesterday to see everything.

Screen capture is the print screen button, now you're really done

I dunno what you can do now, but how many hours have you logged? I did over 30 hours on the marketing beta MP, plus the entire SP for 20, and I hadn't ever seen a lot of space.

Delete your character, or load back from end of the campaign, and try a different route. Launch from Manhattan and shoot the nearest transport. Your career won't be the same again

Good advice, really. Most games that AREN'T as free will just run their course and then be done, nothing left to do but try and beat some highscore or time limit. At least Freelancer, like GTA3 or Morrowind, lets you try alternate paths, new stuff, or just playing around looking for secrets.

Dragoro, stop trolling.

How did they make the system map (the pdf file) anyway? Is there a similar way that I can reproduce one but will all details?

Here's what I did in the game:
Logged: 49 hrs
Missions done: 74
Kills: 1186
Jump holes found: 84
Bases visited: 125
Systems visited: 50
Credits earned: 2,534,331

I also mined, pirated, shot cannons off bases, stared at planets to see if they rotated (they don't except for the one on opening screen), cruised off map, listened to characters in bars for each faction (the cosairs sound more irish than spanish)... Now I just want to make a damn map...

use your imagination and pretend you havent finished the game the day after you bought it.
i have been assimilated. Freelancer is an excellent game.

Nice stats Zamboni! There's more out there, but you have been busy!!

Post Fri Mar 07, 2003 2:55 pm

49 hours and you've finished the game!

I must be retarded or something. I just finished the SP story mission 3 and I've only visited 3 Liberty systems, and I've logged just over 5 hours of game time. At this pace, I've only seen 1/16th of what you have, so it'll take me 80 more hours to finish the game!
(of course the pace probably goes a little faster later on.)

(I suppose this counts as a spoiler... but since you *are* basically asking about what to do next).

Zamboni, you mentioned that you've been to 50 systems. You've missed 2 then. Try looking about the Omicron systems for unknown jump holes.

I like to take my time in a game. Enjoy every aspect of it. The only time I feel the need to get thru it fast and use the best method of doing so is when the game is painfully linear. With this game open ended like it is. I want to do it all and then do it all again.

Post Sat Mar 08, 2003 7:30 am

Lets see...I've spent thirteen hours playing so far, completed 3 missions, and found 45 bases. I must be playing the game differently than everyone else or something, because it seems like other people have pretty much beaten the game within 20 hours, but at this rate it will probably take me around 40...
