What role did Chris and Erin Roberts have in making this game?


What was Elite 3 called. I can't find it.
What what will Elite 4 be called?
Who made Elite 3?
And Who is making Elite 4?

Chris was the project lead up until early 2000. Erin Robert was mainly involved with warthog but he did have some involvment with Freelancer, not sure what exactly though.

As for you elite question I have no idea, I saw a few screenies for Elite 4 about a year ago but have heard nothing since. I think elite 3 was called first contact, but don't quote me on that.



I don't really run this place but I have an understanding with the people who do.

Erin Roberts wasn't involved, as far as I know.

Chris Roberts was the original designer, but left after MS completed the acquisition of Digital Anvil. The overall concept for a space sim with mouse control, in a "dynamic" universe was Chris Roberts' idea.

"Elite 3" was called Frontier: First Encounters

David Braben and Ian Bell wrote the original Elite in the early 80s. David Braben wrote Frontier: Elite 2 and Frontier: First Encounters. Braben himself has said that development of Elite 4 is halted.
