GameSpots top article at the moment is a disscussion of Sci-Fi vs. Fantasy

I liked this bit

From what I've seen, leading the pack of upcoming sci-fi games is Freelancer.


they go on to say

Though I love sci-fi, if there's one thing I don't like, it's space sims. For that matter, I don't like flight sims or naval sims either. But the beauty of Freelancer is that it's really a first-person shooter in space, bringing with it all of the sci-fi staples that I love, with none of the annoyances.

The developers of Freelancer at Digital Anvil don't seem to have sacrificed any depth of gameplay by making the game easier to control, either.

Yep, those are nice words indeed, but they further drive the point that this is not a true space sim along th elines of Elite, X, IWar2, etc. So, those looking for that, will probably be disappointed. Lucky for me, I have room in my life for all of these games.

is anyone here a GameSpot Complete subscriber? my IGN Insider subscription ran out today but i'm not too sure who i want to go with for the next year. IGN is soon letting insiders turn off ads, so i'm kind of hung on going somewhere else. any input?

Ahha I knew I wasn't crazy I found it here
I still haven't found a link on there site though.... I figgured out how there filing works the number in the url is the date
