A way around pilot level limit

We all know that if you reach pilot level 2, the demo is finished. BUT....how do you get to pilot level 2? It's not JUST net worth. If you complete the first mission (the STORY mission) and then just fly around and explore or lane hack or pirate or something like that without accepting a mission from the job boards or from the people, you can keep playing no matter what your net worth. Just thought I'd post it in case there are people who, like me, hadn't discovered that on their own as of yet.

Hmm related to that what's the maximum level one can achieve in the full game? How much money?

Max Rank is 38 , money...not sure if there is a limit...but you are rank 38 with about 2.4 millions cash

Ok so i can keep playing the demo if i don't do any of this missions...
But then what to I do to go about getting some money? I know this is a pretty general question, but...
Say i wanted to "hack" the trade lanes. How do i do that? Do i just stop at the end of one of them, near a planet or a fort, and just blast anything that comes through? how do i do that without having the police/navy seeing me do this and wanting to kick my ass right away?
I know i can also trade commodities, but that of course just isn't as fun as picking on people

Let me get this straight... if I finish the first mission, then land and trade or attack people the demo wont end but if I do any more missions the demo will end? or can I never land?

The net worth is a combination of how many credits you have, AND the sum of the component costs of your ship and cargo (including the ship itself). I don't see how you can keep playing after $28K in net worth; what you say doesn't make any sense...

Anyway, when you finish the first mission, you are FAR from reaching that limit. With some easy money management (rebuy the ship you want multiple times), you can get the best equipment in the system (for level 1 pilots) and still explore for as long as you want.

you can keep playing no matter what your net worth

I'd like to see a screenshot of that, showing your net worth above the level 2 threshold.

Personally you'd be better off using SirCarcass's hacked save game, you level up after you hit a $1,000,000+.

I don't really run this place but I have an understanding with the people who do.

In response to !crazy!'s question, to lane hack, you target one of the trade lane loopy thingys (doesnt matter which one) and you shoot it. They have a shield bar and when you disable the the lane, it will temporarily go down, and any ships passing through will be taken out of that warp thing you go through. Be warned the trade lane you attacked will start shooting you, although they arent very powerful.

*If you have a cat and a dog in the same house, will that be a problem? Of course not, you might just have solved world hunger*

If I knew enough about loadin' screenshots into a post, I'd gladly do it for you, but let me see if I can make myself a little clearer.

In the demo, if you reach $28K or so AND have done some missions OTHER THAN THE MANDATOR FIRST MISSION, you get kicked out of the game. BUT...if you DO NOT take on ANY missions AFTER the first one, you can keep playing regardless of how much money/commodities you have. There are certain ways to get money, WITHOUT cheating. But if I were to detail them, this post would be moved to the Spoilers Forum and I think it belongs here more than there.

The point is, you can do it. Obviously, it's not much fun to NOT take on the missions, but if you play until you get booted and then want to go back and explore, you can start a new game and do this. Trust me. It works.

Where can you get SirCarcass's hacked save game?

Quite, when you get near the net worth cut-off just switch a weapon point to missiles and fire off those pesky credits in combat.
