Preorder or storebought

When you preorder a game, how is that good? dont you still have to wait for the shipping company to deliver? I mean if you have a local ebgames or bestbuy or something, wouldnt it be better to take a ten minute drive and save yourself from the shipping and handling cost and the time it takes to have the package shipped over to your house or apartment or whatever? Not that Ive ever preordered or anything...So, tell me how it benefits

Actually, for me, my local dealers weren't gettin' theirs in-store until the 5th and for $60. It made more sense to me to pre-order it from EBGames.com and opt for the overnight delivery. The game was $50 and the overnight shipping was $9, so I saved a dollar AND got a free T-shirt AND I'm getting it the same day I would have in the stores. And what is the benefit of that dollar? Well, let's just say I got a 20-minute long-distance phone call in my future.
