patch FL campaign

basically, i reckon that based on the demo DA should look at the possibility of giving a wider variety of missions for the SP and MP campaigns that would appear on the job board. these missions would be:

- escort ship(s) from A to B
- carry cargo from A to B
- carry passengers from A to B
- scout sector/planet (eg find a base's location)

one cannot imagine that these would be that hard to create; they would add a greater variety to the job board (which really is the one gripe that stands up to attention thats been raised by the warez people on FL).

I like the idea of scouting areas and finding bases. IMO, you should be able to sell your map to people too. We buy maps nowadays, so why wouldn't people pay for maps in the future? Heck, I wish you could buy maps in the game. I'm sure someboday has explored the border worlds. I'd pay good money to save me some time.

I've been playing the game on a server with a tightly nit group of people. I have everything explored. When people want to go somewhere, they message me, and I either tell them how to get there, or if I'm close. Take them there.

But yes, map trading would indeed own.

I don't think the 2nd and 3rd would pan out well. If you were to cruise with your cargo/passenger, nobody would catch you, or even able to to confront you. Easy money. The only thing remotely danagerous would be if a lane you were using was attacked. But then, you hit cruise and you're off again. It'd take a very coordinated, or very lucky, strike to get you within the time it takes to power up your engines/hop onto the next lane gate.

I wanna comment that last by you hit cruise and you're off again. You have a effective tool in FL that has the name Cruise disruptor. Bye bye using you're cruise engines, it just your enemy who dies or you mate. Fight for it than

I never said fighting was the only fun. Don't put words in my...text. I'm saying it won't be fun if it's too easy to transport things safely, which it most likely is. At least with the escort mission you're transporting something apart from your own ship, so you have something else to worry about.

I forgot about the cruise disruptors...though I still don't know if it would be that difficult to evade them. I mean, the enemy shows up on sensors quite some time before the fighting begins. What would stop you from just taking a little detour to circle past the him? What's the effective range on a disruptor?
