how to navigate waypoints automatically!!!!????

well guys, I must say that if you plan to be a merchant there is a lot of boring clicking to do: there is no way to redirect your ship automatically to the next waypoint: you need to ckick continuosly the contact list and the "goto" command... it's stooopid!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have an idea, why not just hit the spacebar and manually tell your ship where to go? It's a lot less click-intensive.

Because its a game and not a movie you just watch.
Why play a game that doesnt need you to do anything ?

You can plot a course using the star map you have (F6). Then a series of waypoints will be automatically made for you. You can have either the "Best Route" along trade lanes until you get to the part where you have to cruise the rest, OR you can manually plot your course making as many crazy turns as you want.

But of course you'll still have to connect to each waypoint you make with the "Go to" command. I've found this very useful in exploring uncharted debris fields in the demo. You can make a waypoint on the other side of the debris, then auto-pilot the whole way through and scan for new bases and anomalies.

Heh he, clicking leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering, which means RSI

Seriously, what's wrong with clicking ?

Set a string of waypoints, turn off mouse flight, click waypoint, hit F2. It's really simple if you look at it.

you guys are so helpful, really...

You almost have to use waypoints if you want to explore an area with a lot of debris. If you aren't on autopilot your ship won't automatically dodge space debris and if you run into something big your ship will change course.

He means can we get it to automatically follow a set waypoint course instead of having to click on the next (preset) waypoint each time. Currently even if we preprograme a course we have to interact quite a lot still.

lol, i prefer the old fashioned way of flying through with all engines on dodging everything myself.
