I still have the origonal Elite for the Acorn Electron up in the loft.
I have it on cassette and 5.25 floppy, and it still works!!
Need some new switches for the KB cos Z, X S E are all dead.
Its is 20 years old mind you. That version was under 32k, cos thats all the memory it had.

I played all the space sims to death, but I have no idea how I managed to miss Privateer!!

I played 2, and completed the story, there was just no incentive to carry on after that, but I thought it was an excellent game whilst I was playing it.

Problem now is that I don't own a FDD and don't have DOS. Running XP and I've got no idea if I can play an old game like Privateer on it.

Any ideas ?
