Reputation Question - yet another...

Perhaps this has been asked already but..

I was in space shooting up navy pilots just to see what would happen to my rep. well, after killing them I jumped to another quad and checked my rep, my status was still the same (good).

Isnt reputation supposed to change immediately or do you have to land or something???? Perhaps you have to kill a hundred of them to get theyre attention?

Well, one little kill wont end your happy relationship with them...I mean, after killing all those rogues, you dont have a complete red bar faction with them. So yes, you have to kill about a hundred of them to get bad faction with the liberty people. Dont recommend doing that in the middle of a major system with a bunch of other ships around...
