How do ranking work?

How do rankings on the forum work?
What are the ranks and how many post needed for each rank?

As you post you move up. For every so many posts you move up. But the higher rank you attain, the number of posts to attain a higher rank becomes greater. For example, from recruit to 2nd Lt. only requires 4 posts. But to attain 1st Lt., you have to post 10 or 15 posts more. It requires alot of posting to attain a really high rank. Be warned though, when you post be thoughtful with something real to say. Posting trash or emoticons just to attain rank gains you no more respect.

I came. I saw. I conquered. And sometimes get conquered.
