Locking is Not deleting. Everyone can read everything you say, just not 100 times over.

Despite going against forum rules your post was almost half decent until you said this, which just makes it a troll thread. :

But you cannot discuss in a locked topic. Hence someone starts a new one and try to discuss in there. But then the moderator comes in and says "there are other threads dealing with this" (ignoring the fact that they have locked them all so no one can ever discuss in them). Catch 22. Only gush about the game, or the threads will be locked.

Most of the guys who see both positive and negative sides of the games are very calm and very balanced. The only abuse I see on these forums is the fanboys who calls everyone who dares to not adore absoutely everything about this computer game trolls all the time. And the moderators do their fair share of abuse with all this locking of interesting discussions (of course they are polite about it, but that hardly makes it better).

This is a community where you aren't allowed to discuss the game, unless you praise everything about it. You guys seem scared to death. Perhaps because you know deep down that those who feel the game could have been so much better actually have a valid point?

He is a troll, no doubt of that. But he is right. I might be a newbie to THIS community, but locking out threads which were infact written by either FANS or Trolls. The game is alrigt, but its not perfect, not even great. Just Ok - Good. No its good, its not as bad as OK.

I used to hate weddings; all the Grandmas would poke me and say, "You're next sonny!" They stopped doing that when i started to do it to them at funerals.

Oh, I won't. This place is very uninteresting. Every topic where people actually discuss this game and the genre are locked. All the threads that repeat praise never get locked. Why would I want to stay on a discussion forum where you can't discuss?

And what have I done to cause trouble? I tried to discuss this game in a very calm and rational manner. I descibed the games strenghts and weaknesses, and explained why I felt that way. I did not attack anyone. The only ones abusing people here are the mods and the regulars. It almost seems to be a sect-like atmosphere here, where no one is allowed to have a view that isn't that of the moderators.

Also postings wich in nature are against the topic of this site, eg. Freelancer or Starlancer, run the potential risk of getting deleted unless they are not "bashing" in nature and well argumented. If you feel you where unrightfull censored, mail Bargib, and he might look into it

actually, you're attacking every mod and regular in this thread.

the main reason that treads are locked is because there is never any thing new said. Each, flame fulled, post is almost identical to the one preceding it. They may as well be :

I dont think the game is perfect, and I dont think any game ever will be, but considering all that has happened during Freelancers development, I am just glad its not as bad as daikatana
