Will Freelancer easily support mods?

I suppose I could wait until next week to find out, but I'll ask anyways.....

Morrowind is the best example of a game that easily incorporates modifications done by the user community. Will Freelancer be similar, or will it require a little more tweaking to accomplish?

I don't think so, but I sure hope so!

Read the Editing forum. More questions will be answered as time passes.

Give the developers time. If all goes well there will be possibly be an editor. I hope.

I came. I saw. I conquered. And sometimes get conquered.

I was just going to post a topic about mods. . . well we're certainly going somewhere now

Still, official support of mods would bust this game widely over the populus, heh.

Drools over the thought of mods......

From the December 2002 interview:

TLR: So if someone wants to make like a Star Wars mod for it and fly Star Wars ships, can it be done?

Phil: Well, it might get tricky then because of the anti-hacks stuff in there. In theory, if you're all playing the same thing maybe there's a way to do it. There's code in there that is trying to make sure that people are playing the same pieces of unmodified code.

But I guess many things might of changed since then
