Faraway Asteroids, Clouds

I love the way this game does that, when far away you see a little gray cloud, you go into cruise and fly towards it and fly into a extremely dense and foggy asteroid field. Or, last time i acidentally pulled off about 30 shots into West Point Military Academy, I started cruising, towards a purple area on the map, i eventually got close enough and it was DENSE purple fog with black crystals everywhere, so intense, dont you agree?

The first time I flew into a dense cloud I got lost, I didn't know that I could use the map to select targets, and I couldn't pick anything up on my target list. I don't like the radioactive clouds, but I discovered the intensity of the radioactivity can change. I was checking my hull every minute or two and using a nanobot to keep it up, then the radioactivity got worse and the next time I checked my hull was down to about 1/4 of normal. I think I was too close to a neutron star.

yeah i was scared to go out there by myself in a starflier and even a rhino....and with the patriot, its not that i cant handle A rouge its just that when the two or one rouges attack you after u kill one it multiplies outta hand to like 6 or 12 (yes 12 i had to run for it in my cruise engines after i used my after burner while it charged up. even if there was a tradelane near me i would died) but whats the deal with the ithacha reaserch station? its like pure blackness clouds, no color, no stars, lots of rouges.

Yes.. I agree

Good to see a positive post about one of the many positive sides of Freelancer.
Absolutely the most realistic looking space I have ever seen in a computer game.
In the sense you can actually fly to a planet or other objects and they are "really"
there. Not just some pretty backdrop image.

Some players will also complain about the AI. Well...I thought I could just hit my "cruise" icon and outrun the rogues. Worked for a while unit I got some Outcast guys on my tail and one of them hit me with a cruise interrupter missle. I have found the Outcast guys to be tougher than the Rogues.

god i hate xenos, whats weird tho is that sometimes i'm neutral with the rouges, xenos, and outlaws. and i have the worst rep with them. then after awhile they attack me.
