Easy way to keep playing the demo

When you get to where you have just about all the goodies the demo will give you , if you do it right you can save a game at that point and just load that save point when you want to go play with the same ship and equipment. I have a saved game that has 7 hrs. 49 mins game time , 103 kills and I have only 14,000 credits.
I can keep this game active now until the game is released next week. No need for a cheat program to let you go beyond the level limit just so you can keep playing. I am sure some of you have figured this out allready. The main thing I like about the demo is...it lets me practice the combat , ship movement and interface.

There is a hacked save game fix that lets you stay at level one.

Another thing that may keep lvl2 at bay....

Use A LOT of missiles.

Since they are pretty expemsive, and very disposable, they are a good money0sink to keep you well under the Lvl2-Fiscal limit, and still be able to trade and make all that nice profit.
(Yes, I broke down and installed and played the Demo! LMAO! I couldn't hold out any longer! *hangs head*)

Just a thought.

Good point Dredd!! that would work well also.

I also broke down and got the demo after I told myslef to wait. I really do not plan on exploring all the sectors in Liberty. I have my charector at a level where I can practice the interface and I also got to see the wonderful graphics and how smooth it is on my computer. I will not mind starting all over again next week.

I have explored the New York system entirely now, i don't see why i shouldn't have. There are more than 47 systems like that left in the full game, so it doesn't spoil anything. I will enjoy replaying the beginning also. I will quickly remap all the things there are, land on every station, get myself a decent ship and pick up the game fast where i left it in the demo without using a demo savegame (which would screw the game up, so don't even try). No big deal.

Where can I find the save game crack?

Just do a search on Google for Freelancer Cheats, there are several sites that have the saved game .zip file. Not sure if we're supposed to link directly to sites like that here so I'll play it safe and not do it.
