Reputation Question

I was wondering if you could increase your reputation with a "nuetral" faction by joining them in formation and helping them take out enemies and so forth. I think I tried this with the bounty hunters but my rep stayed the same with them...

Does anyone have any info on this?

I'm not sure of that will work. The only way I've been able to increase my faction is by killing mutual enemies. I haven't joined many convoys though. Would be interesting if that worked..

It should affect your reputation with them in that you are killing their enemies, which of course makes them happy. Now, I don't know if faction gets adjusted if you just shoot an enemy and don't actually get the kill. My guess would be that you have to get the final shot on the ship, thus registering a kill. Over time, as you kill the enemies of the bounty hunters, your faction will rise with them. It won't be just a couple of ships that do it, but after a decent amount you should start to see a difference.
