Fighting the Big Ships??

Hey is their anytime that you fight the bigger ships like Battleship's,Destoryer's! If so can you blow them up or what! Also what kinds of Big Ship's are their I seen Battleships in the Liberty Space what other's are their??

We tried to destroy a Liberty battleship, the Rio Grande...launched 25 torps at it, no go.
