Enough reviews! Save them until release, please!

Too many people are posting "reviews" of a game that hasn't even been officially released. Most of them simply bash FL and compare it to other games which the author thinks are better. Freelancer is Freelancer. Its not Elite, Privateer, X-BtF, Earth and Beyond, Morrowind or anything else. if you hate it because it cant do something another game can, then go play that game. Simple as that.

If you MUST post a review, please try to review Freelancer on its own merits, not how some other game handles the same premise so much better. Or better yet, save it until the game is actually released.

Yah, Freelancer is its own type of game. Cant compare it with games like X which have a different focus.

It is inevitable tho. We will keep seeing these types of "reviews" and possibly even in the major reviews that will be done by sites like IGN and Gamespot.

Agree w/ al lof above. Only a week or so left, so lets keep some of the mystery alive for those of us who haven't played it.

"If this is what you want to do, you'll do it, no matter how long it takes..........and usually the longer it takes the more fun you've had!"

I agree.

Well..those who have the full version now should not be reviewing the game anyway. It is not a legal copy and what they have to say about it should be ignored. After the game has been released for about 2 weeks....then I will pay attention to the reviews of the full game. People who have these iilegal copies of computer games only make it harder on us who pay for them. If the developers do not make enough money...we will all suffer. It cost me around 60 bucks for Privateer when it came out and for all the many hours of entertainment I got from that game...it was a great bargain. So some of you had better not tell me 50 bucks is a lot of money!

Damn, that was a great point (original thread) .. It is very much so a game on its own....not to be compared to anything...I myself find myself deeply enthrawed in its uniqueness....beautiful is about the only world I can say

I loved Privateer and I love this...both different and the same in their own ways

and no 50 is not a lot

and no..ppl shouldn't be bashing it since others havn't even played it..I have nothing wrong with it..it's a game..it's not perfect..but it's damn well made and fun.

Nice point Trench Rat, I totally agree. Unfortunately I think FL has been overhyped a little and people are expecting a game that is 2-3 years ahead of it's time. If no-one had heard about freelancer until the demo had been released everyone would be raving about it.
