flight model in demo

First and foremost, I've played the demo through to lvl 2 ,where you get booted. It was the fastest 5 hours I've ever played in a computer game. I couldn't believe it. I can hardly wait for the retail version to hit the streets. Ok..now my concern. I did not notice much difference at all in the handling of the different ships. I ended up with a fully loaded Rhino, (and boy could it pack a punch, with 3 Lavablades up front and 5 turrets). I expected this large cargo ship to be a lot more sluggish than the light fighters that you fly to begin the game with, yet I saw little or no difference. It handled every bit as well as the fighters in a dogfight. Maybe I had a wrong setting somewhere? Did anyone notice a significant difference in the way the different ships handled? Just wondering.

Try out flying the Patriot again, you will notice that it handles somewhat less sluggish due to an increased turn rate. I have flown both Patriot and Rhino in the demo for quite some time, and while I can dogfight a lot better with the Patriot, the better shields and increased firepower of the Rhino make up for a lot of its maneuverability deficiencies.

The Rhino is probably the most agile freighter, but it's also the smallest, by far, in cargo space. The Humpback (Rheinland) freighter is much larger, much more cargo space, and handles like a large train. When you get the full version, you'll start having access to many more fighters and freighters, and you'll really notice the difference then. Liberty ships are all small and agile, but also the least powerful of the bunch.

Many thanks for the input guys. I can hardly wait to test every flyable ship in all of the systems.
