Full version FL - my impressions

Man, all I can say is wow...the flight system is amazing...well once I got used to it after about 30 seconds

my only beef is the non-important NPC speach...Trents replies arn't bad at all but the non-inportmant NPC's are a little off in their replies....the important NPC's have great speach

this game is so damn unique...and the intro movie.....Hope you played Starlancer..it's sweet

I love the planet scapes when you're on the surface..very involving

This is game is beyound unqiue IMHO .... mouse movement was made for spaceship sims as far as I'm concerned...they did an awesome job at integrating this system..

A++++++++++++++ FL team

- repond with your impressions - I'm interested in the good and the bad

This forum is full of other people's impressions of the game. You just need to read a bit.

Lev Arris - Very True

just exciting about getting the full and not the demo

played for freaking 9.5 Hours last night...man I don't feel like I even nicked the plot....the story is AWESOME...freaking awesome....and you get time to do side missions for money...the concept of trade is still a little hazy for me....then aggain there are ships that you can by that a re big enough to transfer lots of cargo...guess I'd just have to look....One was worth 63000 and that thing had a huge hold...but it was on a hacker base.....anyhow the story is sweet they take you all over the Sirius System...I'm in Kurari right now...

Buy this game its sooo worth it...I'm gonna by it just for the box prolly...asuming I don't finish it before it comes out...but still they worked a long time on it so I will anyways

Ohh and I hope all this plot somehow leads back to the Coalition....so I can kill their asses heh....

One thing that gets me about the game...is how my group of 4 NPC fighters freighters was able to take out a whole Rhienland fleet...One Destroyer and two Cruisers and like 6 fighters....then again like four torps hit the Destroyer initially and our gun fire finished them all off....makes sense I spose since cap ships arn't damn huge like in Freespace where it wouldn't make sense for a fighter to be able to take those bigger ships out.....I guess this is a slap in the face for realism

and also the systems are beautiful...wait until you fly out into the Briton systems and beyound to the Tau systems...OMG they are amazing...I had myself drooling....

Please to anybody running that "Immersion" version of FL: Go buy the game when you can if you ever hope to see a large budget space-sim again!

Two words....Excellent game. I spent almost 9 hours yesterday playing and only managed to see 6 systems. Would say more but I have to get back to the game! Thank you DA!

BTW to that comment about buying...I have every intention of doing just that

on to hour 15 of game play

posted the following in another thread about exploration...

Speaking of neet and interesting things to find...I was in the Blood Dragon "HQ" sector...Chakoto or somthing like that (not even close with the name )...only accessable via two jump holes and I decided to fly into the one that led to the really really romote sector with zero lanes in it. I've always wanted to goto one of the stars so I flew towards the Red Dwarf in the system and as I got radiated I stopped and turned around to find a bunch of Kushi navy ships barring down on me.. I killed them and low and behold I spotted a what looked like a jump port. (not on the map) ... flew over there and there was a destroyer and some more fighters.. the jump port was actually under construction (base building it and everyting) .. course since your aligned with the Blood Dragons at this point they all opened fire...lucky for me there was three of my own side patrolling..so they joined in with the initial fighter wave..then I went up to the port and inspected it..the damn thing was being build to goto the Blood Dragon Sector (unknown to the Kushi Police or Navy --- thus this is bad ).. so I tried to destroy it..no chance since the thing is huge and my puny fighter weps are uncapable of damage to it...tried to anyways but about seven fighters launched from the battleship...my support was gone..I ran back to Kyoto Base through the jump hole.....

Reason this is cool is because in no way was I meant to find this...this was all exploration...with that in mind I'm inclined to beleive that there is A LOT of hidden stuff...I just think it woulda been cool that me finding this woulda sparked a mission for the Blood Dragons to actually take it out.
