No... it's more like an adventure game. You can click on certain people and you see in an ingame cinematic how Trent gets and talks to them. No first person on bases or planets.

The amount of space combat depends on how you play the game. If you are a simple trader you have to defend yourself once in a while. If you choose a more dangerous life (exploring, bounty hunting, pirating, flying missions for police, navy or companies), you will have to fight much more often.

why do some of the screenshots show the character with gun in hand if no
on planet combat? on screenshot shows him walking by a officer and he gets shocked. i
