Will Freelancer sell???

This is the question that has been in my mind since I played the demo last night, Do you think Freelancer will sell? We all have our opinions and likes/dislikes of the game right, but from what you can tell, do you think it will sell? I personally think there is a good chance Freelancer will not only score big in the niche market, but earn a decent stake in overall game market.

Mouse support means everyone can play, and it's not to difficult to do combat but still good to be fun and probably not to boring.

At first I was relucent with the graphics, the screen shots were beautiful but I wasn't sure how they would work in the game. After playing the demo, the graphics remind me a lot of the origniality of Black and White.

It's cool as hell to pick out a point and fly there, right now my ship is off the system map on the demo and I'm waiting to see how far I can go. After 2 hours it's only moved a little bit on the universe map.

And the gameplay has definetly meet my expectations plus some, this was something else I was reluctent with.

Like I said, I wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing Freelancer mania in mid, or late March.

I'd love nothing better than to see Freelancer become popular. Popularity breeds imitation. Imitation breeds regenration of a once dead genre. Regeneration of the once dead genre means simply more chances of having fun in other games just like this one. Freelancer On-Line might just be in our future!!

FL has a really good chance to sell well. They're going a good job of getting the word out I think, and most people seem to really like it.

Yes..I think it will sell very well....unless Microsoft decides to go with the same stupid setup that Fileplanet has for the demo..in that case they will not sell as many copies because a lot of people will not get to play the demo to decide if they want to buy the game or not.

Oh yes it will sale big time and will be played for a long time! I already know a bunch of folks that are going to drop E&B to play FL!!

I really hope so, if it does we might just see a whole load of Space Sim games released again. Maybe even another Wing Commander! That can only be a good thing!

Time for a (Party) Freelancer is here

I think the events of the last day will reduce the sellings in eu.
heck nearly 2 months before release, how many ppl will in 2 months even bother to buy a full price game?

well I will
but who else?

I certainly hope so. As do all fans. I'm playing the demo right now(after a two hour wait). There are some glitches but demos are known to be buggy. I am already looking forward to FL 2.

I came. I saw. I conquered. And sometimes get conquered.
