Demo question & Something extra

Heya

Gibby, this one's for you, but other people that know can chip in...

Can the player data from the demo be used on the full FL? Can you export your player once you get the full game, or will i need to re-do the whole first 2 missions over?

My other question, can you land on planets and bases of factions that hate your guts? (Like to get ships only they have)? Or do you have to bribe someone for it?
Or fly a mission for that faction to improve your rep with them?

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tan Hauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. Time to die.

I think you can copy the content from under "My Documents/My Games/Freelancer Trial/" to "My Documents/My Games/Freelancer/", but the change on the leveling up might confuse the game, so I would advise to start over.

Your rep must be at least Neutral for you to land on a base or planet. The lower thrid of the scale is "Hostile", the middle third "Neutral" and the upper "Friendly".

1. Probably can't use the same character. That's a guess though
2. No you can't land on bases controlled by factions that hate you. I found a zoner
base that was hidden. They opened up on me. So I decided to punish them by
strafing around it for a bit taking out all the zoners that tried to dock or left.

you could bribe someone to improve your rating with a particular group, but
it's really expensive so I haven't tried it. Don't think the Zoners would have
anything I wanted.

You can't GET missions from negative factions either so I think bribing is the
only way to get your foot in the door.
