Yeah I'm not trying to complain, well actually I am. I have been following the development of freelancer forever and have played elite, privateer, freespace, WC, starlancer etc. Anyway big fan and I have the game pre-ordered from a while ago. BUT my problem is this: the game comes out the 4th of march and I leave for South America on the 1st of March! Goddamnit! You have no idea how mad I am, how did I get this horrible timing! I won't be able to play this game until September of next fall, and then only for a week. The first time I'll get to play this game for more than a week is July 2004! &#*($&*(# I want so much to be able to play the PR beta so I can at least be able to experience the game but nooooooo. The nearest EB is 50 miles away and I doubt they would give me a copy. So I just pray it comes out on Kazaa or something before I leave. I know it's technically pirated then but you know what? I've got it preordered, i won't be able to play it for a long ass time. I think I deserve to play it for a week or 2 before I leave for Chile.
First of all, welcome to the forum!
All I can say is said by FF already.
(Do I see Mustang posting here soon?)
Why are you going to Chile? For work or private matters?

Hi everyone, I'm going to Chile to study abroad. Part of my college education and I'll be down there 6 months then I come home and head right back out to OR for college (I'm from WI). I shouldnt complain actually, going to Chile will be a once in a lifetime opportunity but you know how it is when there is a new game coming out you really want to play . I guess I'll simply wait, doubtful I'll have a chance to play it in Chile but who knows, I can always hope I suppose. Oh and I really don't support pirating software. The guys at Digital Anvil have done a heck of a job from what I've heard and I've already plumped my $50 down. My massive gaming collection will soon have Freelancer added to it but unfortunetely my younger brother will be the one playing it for months on end (lucky for him)
