it the price of a ship the same or does it change from dealer to dealer?

Mustang- one location? I thought there were multiple places the same ships could be bought throughout the systems that sell them. Like check out ships sold in California system and New York system in the bases database.
So are they the same price?

Instead of outright buying/selling you trade-in your current ship (not equipment) for the one you want, and the value of your ship is subtracted from the cost of the ship, so you don't actually have to have the credits you need to buy the ship, if your ship is expensive enough, though usually you only upgrade to more expensive ships so you will need to pay the difference in credits, which can be quite high.

So you can only sell your old ship and buy your new ship from the same seller? damn! but I guess it had to be like that. It's totally uncool for Trent to go ride an Avis-rental ship to visit the ship seller he wants, after selling his old ship.
