Why are there no Civilian class Frieghters? You would think that more civilians would fly this class of ship than a fighter class..

You see, in FL Universe, the Republicans rule, and the civilians are encouraged to retain their rights to drive around in armed fighters.

What are you talking about?!?! It's a civilians constitutional right to fly around in a fully armed, missile ladened space fighter. How else are you supposed to hunt deer?

Seriously though, I am a little disspointed in the lack of frieghters in general, what's more im a little dissapointed that there isn't a god like frieghter with a massive hull rating. I personally wanted a flying fortress type frieghter that could withstand massive punishment. But you can't have everything, so i'll make do with the Humpback.

Yeah the humpback seems to be the most dominant in the game...

I wonder how feasable it would be to own just a frieghter and survuve being a trader/miner throughout the game.

I was just wondering which frieghter you lot think is the best, I agree that the humpback looks by far the best but it has a large price tag, so which do you think is best if your counting price in this equation?

I believe the "Dromedary" Border Worlds Freighter is the best freighter for the price. It is definately the best looking me thinks.

oh there will be a god like freighter in the game soon enough...
However this will only be when one such as me, with the l33t skillz to do it properly is in the cokpit...heh heh heh see you in multiplayer

I agree with Mustang here.
From what Ive seen in the Guide freighters are too weak and there cargo space isnt that much bigger than that of very heavy fighters.
I am hoping that in the final build this is changed.
But either way, I will buy myself a Humpback asap and rule the skies !

I think just as accesibel as the other ships.
In the Universe Guide - Bases you can see that many places sell freighters.

Me too, Humpback is my target

But maybe first a Clydesdale, that one isnt too expensive and should be able make some money real fast
