Something of Interest
Just reading through the latest edition of the local Aussi rag PC PowerPlay in which they have another beta preview (honest job but a little on the "all games should suit MY tastes" side).
I did however take a look at the Australia's Most Wanted Games list and Freelancer has jumped from 8th spot to 3rd since last months issue. It is placed within some pretty distinguished company, so here goes. (NB some games hadn't been released at time of print)
1. C&C Generals
2. Rome: Total War
3. Freelancer
4. Doom 3
5. Unreal 2
6. Sims Online
7. Star Wars Galaxies
8. Splinter Cell
9. Vietcong
10. IGI2
If you had mentioned freelancer to most australian gamers 6 months ago you would have gotten an inquisitive look and an answer "Free...what?"
My point being that the flooding of Journo's with the PR beta seems to be working and working very well.
EDIT: BTW They have the release date listed as the 13th of March.
