I originally had Freelancer preordered at a local Electronics Boutique, but then spent the reserved money on an XBox game.

I just did the IGN deal though, where you get $10 off, but I opted for overnight shipping which was $9. At least there's no tax, so it's still cheaper than the store.

Since I live in Canada, there are no way I'll pre-order on an US website. Not only will it cost me a lot of money with shipping and money exchange rate, but like many others, I'll probably get the game later than the local stores.

I am considering making a pre-order at my local Eb store. Currently, I have Starwars Knights of the old republic for Xbox pre-ordered there. made many pre-orders and I always got my games first. On the other end, I need to actually drive there to make the 5$ deposit. I am not sure if freelancer will be "that" popular and that no copies won't be on the shelf when I walk in the store.

Also, to make things worst, we usually get games 2 days after the Us date. This is killing me!

I´ve preordered it January 7th 2003 and it will arrive March 10th in Germany.

I caved in as well I simply have to get maximum playtime because I am in an environment here at my school that does not allow for games I was debating it so much that I missed the great offer Gamestop was offering, now I'm paying 58 bucks for it! If I had acted sooner I would have not only gotten the game eralier, but I would have paid less than if I wouild have picked it up at a store! Lesson learned, wehn you see a good deal on a game you like, take it!

I simply went to our only small games shop in our small town of 6000, and told the guy if he didnt get me an import of freelancer as soon as it hits the US shelves, i would increase his rent by 78%, is that counted as pre ordering.

I pre-ordered at the local EB store in January.

But what I really want to know is if Mustang and Robinhood are pulling our collective legs with those school names? Whatever happened to naming them after dead and unknown VIPs?
