Silly ship question

One thing I have wondered. If two factions are at war, liberty is at war with kusari for example, and you are friendly with kusari if you fly into kusari space with a libery ship will they attack you or identify you first to see if you are fiend or foe?

I don't know for sure, but I'll answer based on what I've read.

You have reputations with all the different factions based on your actions. If you are in good with them, they won't fire on you. If not, tread lightly in their space.

That being said, it runs on ship identification, not the type of ship you fly. So if the Kusari's like you, you'd be fine in Kusari space with a liberty ship, however if they don't you'd get shot at even flying a Kusario ship.

It would be kinda cool though if you faction rating was affected by the tyope of ship you fly. So if you bought a Liberty ship, the Kusari wouldn't like you as much anymore.

Nothing cool about being shot up becuase you were flying a liberty or kusari vessel....

Pirate 1: Look, that bastard is flying a Kusari Dragon!
Pirate 2: Let's blast 'im!

once they decided to go with dynamic reputation your actions are what matters, not what you fly. Although what you fly might decide whether you live or die...
So ship and loadout are crucial, but not in that sense.

Also it would be a major pain in the arse if you had to get a diffrent ship every time you moved into a diffrent system just to stay out of trouble.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tan Hauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. Time to die.

I think it is better that the type of ship doesn't change how they feel about you, that way your options are much broader.

That makes me think of something else. I wonder if it is possible to fly in enemy space with some kind of jammer or blocker so when an enemy ship scans you it show a different person so they don't know it is actually you. Even if only certain smaller ships could be rigged like this it could make it interesting if you have to get an item or talk to someone in enemy space.

I didn't mean critically affect your reputation, just knock it down a few points. If you were aklready on the bad side of them then maybe your rep would go critical.

Since rep is based on actions, well buying a ship is an action and a choice. Its not going to make a difference since the FL's gold already. Just thought it would be kinda cool if you had the whole "We look down on foriegn cars" attitude.

Course, maybe if you bought in a high-end import like a Titan, then people would be "Whoa, cool ship!!" and your rep would go up a few knocks.

I have a question about house ships, when you are in a particular system (for example the Kusari) will anyone there be piolting ships of another house or are there only Kusari ships in Kusari space?

I rule the world incognito!

Well, the majority of ships you'll see in each House space, is that of its own House, like you'll mostly see Rheinland ships in Rheinland space. My theory is simply that ppl dont have the access codes to jump from system to system, thus they cant go out and buy another House's ship. People who do have the access codes are those who are merchants, miners, etc.
