OK, we have a thread for what ship you want, how bout one for what ship you the is the best looking? After looking at the ship list, I would say the civilian ships look pretty neat.
I sort of like the Liberty light fighter .
Not the strongest ship, but it sure looks nice

what i mean is that the freelancer fighters are waay too complicated in shape, too many polygons... have u seen the starlancer fighers ?? they are simpler than those that i've seen... the Freelancer fighters look like pieces of uncreative junk (at least those that i've seen) i'm not gonna fully judge on the game yet, coz i havent been to see everything 4 myself. i just don't like waay too fancy stuff, simple, yet neat, and those are the ones that prevail...
This war - is a game of chess - and i have a plan - and its my turn - to hit back.

I swear, that is the weirdest argument agaisnt FL's ships ever! I dont even understand!
High poly complicated ships are bad why?
Low poly simple ships are good why?
I know ppl can have their own opinions but this is totally opposite in what our hardware it driving towards.
Besides, IMHO, they dont look "complicated" in any way. FL's ships are pretty damn simple and they look realistic (in a sense, yeeesh). Have you seen ship models from the other "space sim" games? THOSE are complicated!
OH CRAP! Topic is diverted. Go back on topic. Make a new thread if u guys want this argument to go on.

I dont mean to disagree with you guys, but i have to agree with him on how weird these ships look compared to what i have been used to in the past.
I know what hes saying. Hes saying simple as in WC and SL designs. They looked cooler to me. More sleek and more to what im used to. But its just an opinion of mine.
Of course these ships look very creative and orignal, looks like they just tried to do something different. Strange though on how different these ships look from SL given they are part of the same universe, even with the difference in the time period.
Looking through the ships though and commenting on the topic, i would say i would probably end up getting a sabre. Powerful, plus it looks pretty good compared to the other heavys. The bounty hunter ship is not bad, something i could picture a bounter hunter in for sure.

I don't know guys, there are that many forms of designs in FL that there has to be somethng to please everyone. I think the Bretonian fighters are pig ugly, The Liberty ships are sleek and sexy, The Reinland ship are muscular and the Civilian ships are kinda retro. Plus you have pirate designs, Corsair designs etc. There has to be something to suit everyones tastes.
But getting back on topic I love the look of the Reinland and Corsair ships.

Can someone explain why the pirates and terrorists have their own designs? Sounds implausible. I can buy the idea that they were former soldiers/policemen who deserted, or somehow managed to steal fighters in a shipment raid. Designing and manufacturing your own fighter should be VERY costly, and it needs a well-established, stable organizational structure, and funding for research. Not to mention production factories/shipyards (immobile targets, sitting ducks for the authorities and mercs). And they're somehow better than armed force's designs? Come on.
And why would a "civilian" ship be armed?

Well i think there might be a problem with your love for the anubis, i or anyone else hasnt found it in MP before, so either it's not there or very secret.
