Hey tachyon, I just saw that video you posted a couple of weeks ago thats 6 minutes long and has no sound. I think it looks really good and is running at a nice framerate. I was just wondering what are your specs.

I have an AthlonXP 1.53GHz CPU and a GF4 Ti4600 and 512 MB of ram. The framerate in the video isn't really accurate anyway because I was at insanely low resolution for Fraps to work, plus Fraps was using up a lot of my HDD bandwidth. The actual FPS my screen was getting was pretty bad, but the video turned out ok.

When you normally play what resolution do you use and do you get satisfactory FPS.

1024x768. Offscale high without FSAA turned on. 30-40 with them turned on. I'm not actually sure, though but though it doesn't slow down, it's not quite as smooth as when its turned off. It's not even really that noticable unless you look for it.

Hmm... I have a P4 1.4 GHz, 256MB RDRAM and GF3 Plain. Run at 1024*768 with 4x FSAA and notice no appearent slowdowns at all... might be mistaken though...

All I can say is WOW. I think its awesome that this game has the best graphics ever seen in a space game and it doesnt take a damn super computer to run.

Thats my problem. I have SDRAM and I also have a crappy CPU straining onboard sound card. Other than that Everything ranges from adequate to great. Ive got a nice 19in. monitor with a radeon 9700 1.7 GHz P IV
