What is the plans for LR now?

was it realy 5 or 6 years? no it was a long lasting dream that the people at Digital Anvil made true. My regards to all the people that made this game go Gold.

Now I ask myself and all the editors at LR, what will you turn LR into, what is the plans and future. What information will we be able to find here when the Freelancer is on the market? Btw, you all did a great job during this time.

There's tons more content coming up, including a walkthrough, new forums for FL, new content to be added to the existing FL Guide and hopefully, if all goes well, there will be a decent editing section (im hoping).

Hmm...what else...oh yah, also possibly a server page (dunno how that is going to work) and maybe even a section in TLR for setting up those cool custom missions (like bounty hunt and stuff on that other thread).

All are just what i hope TLR will have in the future.

Oh yah, and look forward to a TLR Freelancer server. I think we have Stinger to thank for that.

That i gotta agree with. You all did a good job here (though i havent been here that long) Since I came to this site in search of fl info, I havent gone to anyother (unless recomended by this site.)

Thanx to those of TLR that have provided us with a good info source and all round help and thanks to those at DA for the years of hard work, and GOING GOLD!!!!

Well, when Freelancer comes out there will alot of new guys visitng the forums. It's our job to provide everyone with the latest info and help the newbies with any questions they have. TLR will definatly life after FL's release!

How about hosting a clan league and tourments if the multiplayer make squad fights/ competive gameing possible

Congratz!

Great job, having kept the faith for all that time (even in years of relative silence) really is something you can be proud of!
Good Luck for the future! I´ll keep visiting your site regularly to discuss every aspect of this hopefully great game and make this game more popular!

Count on this to be a reality from day one. Also, I might have an even better surprise for everyone that not even the rest of the Staff is aware of. More details will certainly follow, but I'm 97% sure this is going to be a real nice feature as far as Freelancer is concerned.

One hint...it will involve MANY at the same time.

That many on a server would surely be a welcome surprise...The TLR community server

i can't see 1000 players i thought the max was 128 ? with 32 being the max without lag (1000 would be cool though, that would be MMORPG stuff)

1000 would be way too many on a server. 128 would definitely be the cap on your limit. Still, I'm looking forward to what Stinger has for us!

1000 on a server would be impossible unfortunately. The hard coded limit is 128 players, and it will take an ultra massive server with a MASSIVE pipe to hold that many and be playable.

I promise to provide more details when game hits retail. For now, please just take my word for it, no one will be disappointed. Been working on this for some time without many people knowing about it.

Remember, labor of love this community has become for me... and it's nearing payback time.
