Commodities..

From the Commodities pages we can read:

Jump Gate and Trade Lane Parts are exclusively manufactured at the Ageira Technologies facility in the Colorado system and are delivered to individual construction sites as necessary. These components are sealed in scanner-proof, tamper-proof white boxes that can only be opened with complex biometric keys. The boxes are also designed to detonate if opened outside of an authorized facility. Additional security measures are confidential, but Ageira has never failed to recover a missing white box.

I can't wait to get my hands on some white crates, opening 'em, and somehow reroute a lane into my perfect little nebula of ambush..
Neet if that could be done.. Perhaps a part of the storyline (fingers crossed)..

Hmm, that would actually be a neat idea, but I don't think it's possible.

This scheme could backfire terribly. What if you accidently reroute a couple battleships to where you're hiding?

Let's get those missiles ready to destroy the universe!!

Battleships can't fit inside tradelanes anyway. Gunships, on the other hand...

Better lay out a few hundred mines then..
And hire a couple of wingmen...
And upgrade my lasers......

and, have your ambush site put in a place where scanning/missiles are useless... id shut down and wait to see how tough my prey is...
Phoenix out
PS: cool idea though
