Finally a game like Elite

I've been waiting years for someone to get their act together and contribute to this style of gaming. At the time (1987) Elite kicked ass and was a breakthrough for a new genre of gaming. Can't wait till the Online version comes out (apprx 6 months l8r), let alone this one. Imagine, 1000's of Freelancers....what chaos.

Gargoyle, welcome aboard. Freelancer's roots are definitely in Elite and Privateer. You're gonna love this game, has all the best parts of both games and much more.

Never played Elite.. When was that.. Same time as Privateer??
That was an awesome game.. And Lev Arris.. He actually stars in The Bourne Identity.. As one of the assasins...
I still think of Privateer when I see him... Brings back sweet memories..

Iv'e been waiting for this game since Privateer 2. Elite, privateer ens ens, was the best games I have ever played.

Hopefully the new idea of freelancers control won't put me up completely.
