LAN ??

Hi everyone!
I know there is multiplayer via the zone.com and persistent servers and all but I didn´t find the answer to this one: Will there be multiplayer for LAN and does it work similarly to internet MP?
I know this seems to be a stupid question but I just couldn´t find the answer to it (even searched the forums).

Would you enlighten me?

Thanks for the info guys. Sorry to have nagged a little.

And yeah, I'm not sure if i can do it yet but i might be able to run it as a dedicated server.

Also have been considering trying to see if i can hook up a 2GHz, 3 GB ram (At least i think its that much ram) and 2 MB inet connection at work. you know, just somehow try and hide in the back of the server room. me and a couple of mates are the inly ones ever in there. I mught be able to get away with it.

But i know sods law will find a way to expose my plot.

Still it could be very cool.
