Rebalance 3.5 installation woes

Have just returned to Freelancer after a little absence and discovered there is a Rebalance 3.5!!! Way to go guys! .. But.....

I cant get it to run and must be doing something wrong, can someone please help a confused freelancer pilot enthusiast?

There does not seem to be anyway of installing Rebalance 3.5 other than dropping all the folders and files into my install dir of Freelancer. Which I have done three or four times now. Trouble is I am greeted by the rebalance 3.5 screen then dropped back to desktop without so much as a by your leave?

I am using ver 1.0 of Freelancer (is there a later patch required?)
I am using the latest graphics drivers !!
I am using a dual proc comp (are there any known issues with this type?)
I have read the readme in RB 3.5 but there is NO mod file of rb 3.5 in the FLMM??
I have got FLMM.
How do I get FLMM to see rb 3.5?

Any help greatly appreciated guys!!!! cheers

try to modyfy the extension of the downloaded file to an extension like other mod-extensions. try "FlRebalanceMod350Full.flmod" or "FlRebalanceMod350Full.zip.flmod". works swell for me. Best mod ever tryed by me. Top gun: EURO 3 from looted from corsairs (me max level

Brilliant... thanks for that Titus. Yep can get in and play single player now.

BUT............ Now I get an error message when trying to connect to my own LAN game. It comes up on the list, and I dbl click or click on it then click CONNECT and up comes....

"Please wait, the expected operation is taking longer than expeceted. Press ESC to cancel"

Naturally I wait but after a long while it comes up could not connect. This is an intermittant problem as I have got in and started a char... not other games cause this problem. any ideas... anyone?
