1st or 3rd person?

How do you play?

I play FL in 3rd person but only because the 1st person view seems under developed, as if DA didn't intend for people to use 1st person at all. 1st person just seems more realistic in games that focus on it.

1st. Why? My ship interfieres a LOT when aiming, in first person (without cockpit) you can aim easily, without a shio graphic in the middle of the screen.

3rd person is MUCH better but i dont know why.....

i like 3rd person because you can see where you are getting shot from etc, however if the ship is to big or small you lose that.

third person, as weap impacts on your sheilds can obscure the view it first, not so in third...

Third person view is better because it allows for a wider angle on firing your guns. From a competitive standpoint.

While I'm an avid first-person (with cockpit) fan in almost every other game, FL is really built for third-person gaming. The ship doesn't block your view any more than the target information and ship status displays do, and the wider field of vision allows for more precise control and greater situational awareness. Lacking a true sensor system, visual contact is the only way to keep track of multiple targets at once. In any combat situation, it is critical to be constantly aware of your enemies' positions relative to you, and third-person view is really the only way to get the full picture in FL.
