To get friendly with a faction, fight their enemies. Only problem is the Hessians' enemies are the Corsairs, who are a lot tougher than the Hessioans! But all you really have to be is "not hostile" -- not really friendly. Just get your rep out of the red and sort of to the point where they'll let you land ... but still may try to hijack your cargo. (So don't carry any cargo when you go to an unfriendly base.)

p.s. Dresden is a fun system. All sorts of goodies to mine, lots of jump holes, lots of bad guys!

if you want a Sabre,you don't have to go to Vogtland. you can go to planet Malta in Omicron Alpha (if you're friendly with the Outcasts) and get one.

An easy way to get friendly with the Hessians is to go to Freeport 9 in Omicron Theta (I think). Go the bar tender and see what bribe is offered. If its not what you want - just launch, re-dock and try again.
Is easy as long as you've got the $$. It could be as high as $150,000.00 if you,ve really ticked 'em off; or as low as a few thousand.
