FLMM giving me fits

ok was tempted to post this in the technical but wasn't sure anyway i've been getting this error everytime i try to activate a mod of any type, now i've done a clean install of freelancer and reinstalled FLMM. yet i still get htis error:

Error: FLMM has determined that ' ..:: FL-BFM- Demo ::.. won't properly activate.
Error: file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\EXE\freelancer.ini' doesn't exist

i'd really like some help with this as i'd really like to get back into freelancer.

Error: file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\EXE\ freelancer.ini' doesn't exist

EXE\EXE is invalid, if the mod has been tested i would think they would notice that. therefore i can only conclude the mod is corrupted. first try downloading it again if thats not inconvenient,if it's still broken then search the files in the FL-BFM folder for the exact phrase EXE\EXE and then remove the extra directory EXE then save the file.

Are you running the full version of Fl or the demo?

When you do a clean install, you must go to your c: after uninstalling and delete the FL folder, then reinstall. Don't forget to download and install the SDK file then activate a mod in FLMM.

If your running the demo, mods won't work

Just a thought:

Open FLMM, go to the "options" menu item, and select "Choose a different freelancer directory" from the menu drop down.

Next, when the window opens up, make sure that it is "blue" on the Freelancer folder! Not the exe folder etc, just the Freelancer folder. Click okay, and see if it works then.

If not, then which mod is it you are trying out?
