A very noobish question

Yes, this question seems kind of noobish. The question is:
"How do I update my Freelancer version number to 3.1? I wanna play on Asgard RPG!"

Forgive my AI project. basically, the mod automatically changes the Version number (Well, MOST major mods do as a systems failsafe) so that only the specific modusers can access the modded server. I once had an idead to create a MDB off all the mods that put an alphanumeric sequence in for each of the mods, so each could be individually identified, and rule out the server compatibility issue.
Never got off the 'idea' stage.

So, basically, download and activate the mod.
