Stuck at lvl 33?

I recovered my ancient saves, and reloaded them into Crossfire mod. It works fine, the save is after finishing the single player campaign. I'm at lvl 33, but the Corsairs say that my level is not high enough to do any missions at their base, so i had to go to new berlin, as other factions don't view me very well. Is it possible to level up in single player campaign even after finishing it?

(P.S. how did you get to level 33 in the missions ?)

Beats me! I can't recall how I got so high up, it's just annoying to do missions worth 33 thousand best, while most bases reject me because apparently at lvl 33, I'm not "experienced enough pilot"

the highest i ever got during the missions is level 16

anyway the way i got up to 38 was by finding the wrecks there s a good one in sigma 13 about 20k above the junker base follow the trail of wrecks theres good
codenames there worth about 300'000 credits combined

I'm pretty sure the most effective way to quickly level up to 38 is to get a VHF (Titans usually work the best since they're the most expensive) and load it up with the rarest/most valuable/most expensive weapons you can find. Either that or just get a Dromedary/Flying Whale (Humpback, man, those things are SLOOOW) and load up on Diamonds and Cardamine... In no time you'll be hearing that high-pitched "ding" that signifies level ups.

Not clear on the crossfire mod having never played it.

But on a vanilla server i can get to a VHF in about 3 hrs. just by trading. Lots of very profittable routes out there. After that the fastest cash can be made by piratting (but you have to pick your spots).

Sounds to me like your reputation needs work befoe you concentrate on levels - try killing xeno's by the hundred, it shouldn't take too long, maybe 2 hrs. @ 100 an hour. You may want to get a highly manouvreable ship and fast guns for the job as they are the best ai pilots out there (i reckon) for evasiveness. There's even one spot where you can get rich killing Xeno's so can level up and get a better rep at the same time.

10,000+ Xeno kills and your (nearly) green to all.

That's all on a vanilla install, btw, so the mechanics might be somewhat different in Crossfire. It any good?
