order robot planet

any idea what those robots are up too on the abandoned base? any way to get them to respond? and did anyone else try to fly to the alien system and end up flipping round at the edge of the map

It's an easter egg. Some people say that the monkeys represent Digital Anvil (Creators of Freelancer) and the robots represent Microsoft (Publisher). It's been known though.
