Location of freeport7!!

Location of freeport7!!

First I thought that freeport7 was in a
system not included in the game. But when I visited
sigma17 and saw the three suns there I grew suspecious.
But recently I saw a mod where it's author claimed that they have
recreated the freeport7 system and thus lost interest in finding
it completely.

After sometime I landed on planet kurile and took a mission in
sector 3E and when I flew out there I saw a wreakage, aborting the
mission I took a position infront of it and there in all it's glory
stood freeport7. The 3 suns angle was perfect.. exactly as we all saw
in the freeport7 destruction cinematic footage. I couldn't believe
my eyes. IT WAS FREEPORT7!! But on closer examining of the wreck I saw
that it was a different class of station, but I got a clue from a wreck
called mongoose(bounty hunter fighter) that it was downed after the
freeport7 disaster. I was convienced.

Freeport7 exact location-

In the map of sigma17 system, you will find only a single rock
of the nemuro dust field in the 3E sector. Place a waypoint just south east of it's
position.There you will find it.

If this has been already found by the forum members sorry for the
inconvenience.

Apparently it seems that there was poor management and co-ordination..and the wreck
was not of the same class as the destroyed one. I am not surpised,
microsoft afterall!!

Wreck class = dern class (like freeport 2 and 9)

Freeport7 cinematic footage class = military class (like west point military academy)

That's it. Makes you wonder why they brought the survivors all the way to Liberty.

As to the stations being different, there are quite a few minor slips up in the game. e.g. Click on a certain wreck and you get two names, the James Morrell and the Robert Morrell. So which is it? A few other wrecks are even misidentified as some other object. These little things don't have any effect on the game, but they do show that not everything was double checked. Still, it is amazing how much there really is in this one-CD game. After playing it a couple of years, I occasionally run across something I had previously missed even now.

You said it man! The game may not be perfect but this is the most superb game that I have ever played and by the direction the gaming industry is going nowadays towards stupid FPS , racing and sports oriented games I think freelancer will be THE ONE that I will forever cherish THE BEST!

Shame there is no freelancer2.

Freelancer and Descent 3 are the only FPS games that have held my attention for more than 5-6 hours of gameplay. That's saying a lot.

I wish somebody would do an updated version of the old Privateer from around 1990. Privateer with today's technology would be unbelievable! You can see a lot of Privateer in Freelancer.

I don't know if you guys have seen the Privateer Remake, if you haven't I highly recommend you check it out.

Linky!

The graphics have been updated and some additional features added, but it's the same ol' Privateer gameplay.

And it runs in Windows, Linux and MacOS! It's a free-for-all!

The Privateer Remake looks good, have to try that.

If you haven't seen the Privateer MOD for Freelancer you might want to check that out.
